Apple TV+ has quickly become the place where you find peak TV and to achieve that status they have to leave some shows behind and support the shows with potential. 2024 has been a pretty good year for Apple TV+ as it saw the premieres of some great new shows like The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin and Sugar but we also have some shows that didn’t make it out of the chopping block. So, let’s find out if your favorite Apple TV+ original series makes the cut or not.
Canceled

Constellation Season 2
This one made many people angry. On one hand, Apple TV+ is making many great sci-fi shows like Dark Matter and For All Mankind but on the other hand they are canceling shows like Constellation, which was instantly praised by the audience for its great story and incredible visuals. Constellation premiered on Apple TV+ in February 2024 and it was met with a cancelation in May 2024.

Renewed
Slow Horses Season 5
While the renewal for Slow Horses Season 5 comes as no surprise for the fans of the Apple TV+ spy dark comedy series, it is still better for a show to get an early renewal. Based on Mick Herron’s series of novels, the Apple TV+ series premiered its third season in December 2023, and because the fourth season was already renewed and shot we also got a trailer for Season 4 at the end of Season 3. Until now Apple TV+ has been giving Slow Horses early renewals for two seasons in advance and this is the first time that it has gotten a renewal for a single season because there are still books left to adapt. So, let’s hope that the series doesn’t get canceled before adapting all of Herron’s books.
Hijack Season 2
Created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, the high-octane thriller series Hijack was a big hit for Apple TV+ after its premiere in June 2023, but the renewal for a second didn’t come out until nearly five months after the series ended. Maybe, that’s the reason for the Season 3 renewal, which was announced in February 2024.

Dark Matter is one of the best new shows of this year and it was no surprise that it was renewed for Season 2 by Apple TV+, but the only question is why it took the streaming service so long to renew it as it was greenlit for Season 2 on August 16, 2024, nearly two months after the first season had ended.
Criminal Record Season 2
