HBO has now given the green light to Season 4 of Bill Hader’s brilliant dark comedy series Barry. According to THR, the acclaimed comedy-drama series has been officially renewed by HBO for its Season 4. The news of renewal comes before the third season has even completed airing its half episodes. HBO Programming Executive VP Amy Gravitt confirmed the renewal of the series with a statement saying:
“Bill, Alec and the entire cast and crew delivered an exquisite third season of Barry. jIt’s a masterful blend of laughs and suspense. I’m so happy to announce that we are picking up the fourth season.”
The early renewal of the series could mean that the production on Season 4 could start early and we could get Season 4 much earlier than we expected because some time ago Hader confirmed that they have already written the scripts for Season 4 during the pandemic. Barry is created by Hader and Alec Berg, who also serve as writers and directors on the series. Hader and Berg also executive produce the series alongside Aida Rodgers and Liz Sarnoff. Barry stars Hader, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Carrigan, Sarah Burns, and Henry Winkler.
