The Mask is a superhero action comedy film directed by Chuck Russell from a screenplay by Mike Werb. Based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name by Mike Richardson, the 1994 film follows the story of Stanley Ipkiss, a timid bank clerk who discovers a mystical mask that consists of the spirit of the Norse god Loki and helps turn Stanley into a superhero and also a criminal at the same time. The Umbrella Academy (Netflix)
The Umbrella Academy is a superhero action-adventure comedy-drama series created by Steve Blackman. Based on the Dark Horse comic book series of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, the Netflix series sees 43 infants with superhuman abilities being inexplicably born on one day and seven of them were adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves. The series revolves around the grown-up Hargreeves siblings as they reunite after the death of their father and soon they discover that an apocalypse is imminent.
