A Man Called Otto (November 5)
A Man Called Otto is a comedy-drama film directed by Marc Foster from a screenplay by David Magee. Based on the 2012 novel A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman and its 2015 Swedish adaptation of the same name by Hannes Holm, the 2022 film follows a lonely widower who sees no purpose in life and decides to take a drastic step but when his plan is interrupted by his new neighbors, his life changes for the better. A Man Called Otto stars Tom Hanks, Mariana Treviño, Rachel Keller, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Truman Hanks, and Mike Birbiglia.
Edge of Tomorrow (November 6)
Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi action thriller film directed by Doug Liman from a screenplay co-written by Christopher McQuarrie, Jez Butterworth, and John-Henry Butterworth. Based on the Japanese light novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, the 2014 film is set after an alien invasion on Earth that threatens to wipe out the humans and it follows Captain Cage who is stuck in a time loop and teams up with a warrior to fight against the aliens. Edge of Tomorrow stars Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt in the lead roles with Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, and Charlotte Riley starring in supporting roles.
First Man (November 14)
First Man is a biographical drama film directed by Damien Chazelle from a screenplay by Josh Singer. Based on the 2005 non-fiction book of the same name by James R. Hansen, the 2018 film follows Neil Armstrong, an American NASA test pilot as he and his fellow Apollo Program members set out on a mission to land on the moon. First Man stars Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Christopher Abbott, and Ciarán Hinds.
Evil Dead Rise (November 22)
Evil Dead Rise is a supernatural horror film written and directed by Lee Cronin. Based on the characters created by Sam Raimi, the Evil Dead film follows two estranged sisters as their reunion gets disrupted by the rise of demons. Now, they must fight against the demons who can take over anyone’s body to survive. Evil Dead Rise stars Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher.
Ali (November 30)
Ali is a biographical sports drama film directed by Michael Mann who also co-wrote the screenplay with Eric Roth, Stephen J. Rivele, and Christopher Wilkinson. The 2001 film follows the life story of Cassius Clay Jr. who went on to become the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. Ali stars Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Jon Voight, Mario Van Peebles, Ron Silver, Jeffrey Wright, and Mykelti Williamson.
Glengarry Glen Ross (November 30)
Glengarry Glen Ross is a tragedy drama film directed by James Foley from a screenplay by David Mamet. Based on Mamet’s 1984 Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name, the 1992 film follows a group of salesmen at a real estate company who are given their notice and come up with a plan to get even with their bosses but it doesn’t work out the way they want it to. Glengarry Glen Ross stars Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, Kevin Spacey, and Jonathan Pryce.
It Chapter Two (November 30)
It Chapter Two is a supernatural horror film directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman. Based on the 1986 novel by Stephen King, the sequel film is set twenty-seven years and it follows the now grown-up Losers Club as they reunite in the town of Derry to keep their promise and fight against and defeat the evil clown for good. It Chapter Two stars Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, James McAvoy, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, and Bill Skarsgård.
