Chris Pratt‘s upcoming sci-fi mystery thriller, Mercy, has been pushed from its August 2025 release date to January 2026, as per Deadline. The Amazon MGM Studios film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov and is based on a screenplay by Marco van Belle.
Mercy is set in the near future when capital crime has increased, and it follows a detective who must prove his innocence after he is accused of committing a violent crime.
The upcoming film also stars Rebecca Ferguson (Silo), Kali Reis (True Detective: Night Country), Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders), Chris Sullivan (The Knick), Kenneth Choi (The Wolf of Wall Street), Kylie Rogers (Home Before Dark), Rafi Gavron (Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist), and Jeff Pierre (War Dogs).
With Mercy pushed to next year, Bob Odenkirk‘s upcoming sequel film Nobody 2 will have the theaters all to itself on August 15, 2025. This move also clears the way for Mercy, as it will be the solo release on January 23, 2026.
Mercy is now set to release in theaters all around the world on January 23, 2026.
