Daredevil fans just got an exciting update as Charlie Cox, who plays the titular character, confirmed at the Daredevil: Born Again panel at FAN EXPO San Francisco 2024 (via SuperHeroHype) that they are all set to begin filming on Season 2 before the first season premiers on Disney+ in March.
Sitting alongside co-star Wilson Bethel, Cox said, “It’s been so many years since we released any Daredevil content. I’m really excited about it,” Cox said. “By the time we release [Daredevil: Born Again Season 1] on March 4th, we’ll already be shooting Season 2. So, it’s just a gift that keeps on giving, really.“
Daredevil has had a long journey back after it was prematurely canceled on Netflix because of Disney’s decision to bring its character back to its own streaming service. After a lot of trial and error, it seems that Marvel Studios execs are finally happy with the end product, as they are finally ready to put out the first season, and in a show of confidence, they have already renewed the beloved series for Season 2.
Daredevil: Born Again is all set to bring back Cox as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka Punisher. New actors joining the series are Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Nikki M. James.
Daredevil: Born Again premiers on Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
