Demigod – New Trailer Promise an Unsettling Folk Horror Film

A trailer for the upcoming horror film Demigod was unveiled, and it looks like it is going to be a dark horror film with a Celtic god in it. Miles Doleac (Hallowed Ground), the writer and director of the film drew inspiration for the film, from the Celtic god Cernunnos. Demigod stars Rachel Nichols, Jeremy London, Yohance Myles, and Elena Sanchez.

The film focuses on Robin as she returns to her birthplace in Germany’s Black Forest with her husband Leo, after the death of her grandfather. But when she gets there, a horrifying secret is waiting for her.

The trailer shows, Robin dismissing the legends as made-up stories told after getting drunk, but things go pretty wrong pretty fast for Robin and her husband as they are confronted by Druid-like figures who supposedly summon the Celtic god.

Doleac has many credits in the film which include directing, co-writing the script with Michael Donavan, and also acting in the film. His character in the film is named Arthur, and he even shows up in the trailer trying to warn the lead couple about the Black Forest, he also produced the film alongside James V. Bulian, Wesly O’Mary, and Lindsay Anne Williams.

Demigod is all set to release in theaters and on VOD platforms on October 15, 2021. Check out the trailer and the film’s poster below:
