We are talking about the Dexter prequel series Dexter: Original Sin, which will take us through the bloody and darkly comedic origin story of Dexter Morgan. Created by Clyde Phillips, the Showtime series is based on the Dexter novels by author Jeff Lindsay and the Dexter series by James Manos Jr.
Dexter: Original Sin follows a young Dexter as he learns and executes his code of only killing criminals who have slipped through the cracks of the criminal justice system from his father, Detective Harry Morgan. He also begins working as an intern in the forensic department of the Miami Metro Police Department.
