‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel Series ‘Dunk & Egg’ Adds Steve Conrad To Write

The much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series Dunk & Egg has just added Steve Conrad as the writer on the series. The series has been in development for some time now at HBO, and finally, we have some news about the upcoming series.

There are three Dunk & Egg novellas published by Martin yet. The first novella is The Hedge Knight which was published in 1998, the second one is The Sworn Sword which was published in 2003, and the third novella was published in 2010 and was titled The Mystery King.

Dunk & Egg (Tales of Dunk & Egg) is based on George R.R. Martin’s novellas and the story in the series will be set 90 years before the events that took place in Game of Thrones Season 8 and will follow Dunk (Ser Duncan the Tall, the future Lord Commander of the Kingsguard) and Egg (Aegon V Targaryen, future king of Westeros), Egg is the great-grandfather of Jon Snow.

Dunk & Egg is one of much live-action Game of Thrones prequel series in the works at HBO, alongside some GOT animated projects at HBO Max. The first live-action GOT prequel series titled House of the Dragon is coming to HBO Max next year.

Conrad has previously worked on movies like Wonder, Unfinished Business, The Pursuit of Happyness, and The Weather Man, and when it comes to TV shows, he has created Amazon Prime Video’s original series Patriot, and the upcoming AMC+ series Ultra City Smiths.
