HBO has just revealed the first trailer for the third season of its smash-hit series Succession and it looks like this time the Roy’s will kill each other (metaphorically). The trailer for the third also gives us a look at the newcomers joining the series and those are Adrien Brody, Hope Davis, and Alexander Skarsgård.
The trailer just shows how far the Roy’s will go to get control of the company and the divide between them. After the events of the Season 2 finale, there is obviously going to be a war between Logan and Kendall, and this season will tell us who is going to be standing behind them.
Brody will be a guest-starring on the series as Josh Aaronson, a billionaire activist investor who is going to play a pivotal role in the battle for the ownership of Waystar. Skarsgård will be playing Lukas Matsson, a successful and confrontational tech founder and CEO, and Davis will be taking on the role of Sandi Furness, the daughter of Logan’s longtime rival, Sandy Furness (Larry Pine).
Succession Season 3 will see the return of Peter Friedman, J. Smith-Cameron, Dagmara Dominczyk, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Arian Moayed, Zoë Winters, and Jeannie Berlin. The full new cast joining in Season 3 is Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae, Brody, Davis, and Dasha Nekrasova.
Succession Season 3 is created by Jesse Armstrong who also serves as an executive producer alongside Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, and Will Ferrell.
Succession Season 3 will be debuting on HBO and HBO Max on October 17, nearly two years after the Season 2 finale. Check out the trailer for Season 3:
The official logline for the new season from HBO Max is: “Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of season two, Logan Roy begins season three in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.“
