HBO’s upcoming live-action series adaptation of The Last of Of Us games, has completed filming its first. The announcement was made by the director of the pilot episode Kanetmir Balagov, who made the announcement through an Instagram post. The production of the series began this year in July and it is supposed to be complete before June 2022.
Balagov posted an image along with a caption saying that “My job here is done,” which likely confirms that the filming of the episode is completed. In the post, Balagov also thanked many of the game’s cast and crew members who were involved. The pilot episode is directed by Balagov and the series is written by Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin.
The Last Of Us series is an adaptation of the first game in the series of the same name. In the game, the players play the role of Joel, who is assigned a task to smuggle a girl named Ellie into a group called the Fireflies. Pedro Pascal will be playing the role of Joel, while Bella Ramsey is going to Ellie in HBO’s adaptation.
The highly-anticipated HBO’s upcoming series The Last of Us, adapted from the popular video game series, will reportedly cost more than $10 million dollars per episode. A report from local Alberta site CTV News, states that the budget of the series is rumored to be in hundreds of millions – which makes The Last of Us series one of the most expensive television shows ever made, among other HBO shows like Game of Thrones and The Pacific.
