2024 is over, and while it was a relatively good year for Disney+ and its subscribers because of all the marvelous content we got. In my opinion, it is nothing compared to what Disney+ has in store for us for 2025, as some of the most highly-anticipated Disney+ original shows will be premiering this year. So, let’s find out which of your favourite Disney+ original shows or some incredible new shows are coming to Disney+ in 2025.
Goosebumps: The Vanishing (January 10)
Goosebumps is a supernatural horror anthology series created by Rob Letterman and Nicholas Stoller. Based on the book series by R.L. Stine, Season 2 of the Disney+ series is titled The Vanishing, and it follows fraternal twins Devin and Cece as they go to spend their summer with their dad, but they soon realize that their father is hiding some pretty dark secrets in his basement. Goosebumps: The Vanishing stars David Schwimmer, Ana Ortiz, Sam McCarthy, Jayden Bartels, Elijah M. Cooper, Galilea La Salvia, and Francesca Noel.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (January 29)
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an upcoming animated superhero teen action comedy-drama series created by Jeff Trammell. Based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the Disney+ series is set in an alternate universe, and it follows the origins of Peter Parker. Still, in this world, Peter’s mentor is Norman Osborn instead of Tony Stark. Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’s voice cast includes Hudson Thames, Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy, Charlie Cox, Kari Wahlgren, and Paul F. Tompkins.
Win or Lose (February 19)
Win or Lose is an upcoming animated sports comedy-drama series created by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates. The Pixar series follows the members of a co-ed softball team at a middle school in the week leading up to their big championship game. Each episode will show the same event from different points of view. Win or Lose’s voice cast includes Will Forte, Izaac Wang, Ian Chen, Jo Firestone, Milan Ray, Josh Thomson, Erin Keif, Rosie Foss, and Chanel Stewart.
Daredevil: Born Again (March 4)
Daredevil: Born Again is an upcoming superhero legal crime drama and action-adventure series created by Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman, and Chris Ord. Based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name, the upcoming series will serve as a sequel to the Netflix series Daredevil, and it will follow Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, fighting against some new foes as well as some old ones. Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, and Jon Bernthal.
Andor Season 2 (April 22)
Andor is a dystopian sci-fi political thriller and action-adventure series created by Tony Gilroy. Set in the world of Star Wars, the upcoming Season 2 of the Disney+ series will continue the story of Cassian Andor and the emerging rebel alliance through the four years leading up to the discovery of the Death Star. Andor Season 2 stars Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Forest Whitaker, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Adria Arjona, Joplin Sibtain, Kyle Soller, Denise Gough, and Andy Serkis.
Ironheart (June 24)
Ironheart is an upcoming superhero sci-fi action-adventure series created by Chinaka Hodge. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato, the Disney+ series is set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and it follows Riri Williams as she returns to Chicago, where she comes into contact with Parker Robbins/The Hood. Ironheart stars Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White.
Eyes of Wakanda (August 6)
Eyes of Wakanda is an upcoming animated superhero sci-fi action-adventure drama series created by Todd Harris. Based on MCU’s Black Panther film franchise and Marvel Comics characters of the same name by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Disney+ series follows the Wakandan warrior named Hatut Zaraze, who executes dangerous missions around the world to retrieve vibranium artefacts. Eyes of Wakanda’s voice cast includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, and Jona Xiao.
Marvel Zombies (October 3)
Marvel Zombies is an upcoming animated superhero zombie horror series created by Zeb Wells. Based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips, the Disney+ is set in an alternate timeline, and it follows a group of survivors who must fight against former superheroes turned zombies to stay alive. Marvel Zombies’ voice cast includes Awkwafina, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olsen, Randall Park, Florence Pugh, Hailee Steinfeld, Dominique Thorne, Iman Vellani, and Todd Williams.
Wonder Man (December 2025)
Wonder Man is an upcoming superhero action comedy series created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Don Heck, the Disney+ series follows Hollywood actor Simon Williams who finds himself embroiled in the world of superheroes after he gets superpowers. Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ben Kingsley, Demetrius Grosse, Ed Harris, and Josh Gad.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 (2025)
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a fantasy-action adventure comedy-drama series created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg. Based on Riordan’s book series of the same name, the upcoming Season 2 of the Disney+ series continues the story of Percy Jackson and his friends as they return to Camp Half-Blood, and soon his life turns upside down through various personal and mythological revelations. Percy Jackson and the Olympians stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer.
