Ryan Reynolds is definitely one of the most funniest and in-demand actors working in Hollywood right now, and Will Ferrell‘s comedic chops are unparalleled in the entertainment industry. When you put them both together you get a Christmas movie called Spirited. Christmas spirit in these times is a very hard task, for some people just some Christmas songs and decorations might do, but for other people, they need a visit from the “ghosts of Christmas present, past, and yet to come.” Spirited is directed by Sean Anders with a script co-authored by Anders and John Morris.

The comedy film is based on the 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens and illustrated by John Leech. The novella originally told the story of an elderly gentleman named Ebenezer Scrooge, who is transformed into a kinder man after he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and the Future. Spirited won’t be the first adaptation of the novella, and it certainly won’t be the last. The upcoming film is joining the ranks of films like Scrooged (1988), A Christmas Carol (2009), and more.
