There have been many updates about the Prime Video superhero animated series Invincible, which was recently presented at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con. During the Invincible panel, it was officially confirmed that all of the actors have finished the voice recording for Invincible Season 3 before the SAG-AFTRA (actors) strike began.
In a recent interview with ComicBook, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman told fans that the wait for Season 3 will be much shorter than the upcoming Season 2. Between the first and second seasons, the fans have had to wait for more than two years. Before they finally found out that Season 2 Part 1 will be premiering on Prime Video on November 3.
During his interview with Kirkman said:
“This is a very complicated show. There’s a lot of work going into it. Making an animated series is kind of like assembling a factory and getting that factory running, and now that we have everything in place, this is going to be the longest gap there will ever be between seasons. From this point on, every gap between seasons will be smaller.”
Based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman (who also created the Prime Video animated series), the superhero series follows the story of a 17-year-old boy Mark Grayson, the son of the mightiest superhero on Earth Omni-Man. Mark feels the pressure of all of his father’s and his own expectations, and when he finally gets his superpowers his whole world changes.
Invincible has one of the best casts in all of the animated shows which includes Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man, Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson, Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Zachary Quinto as Robot, Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett, Grey Griffin as Shrinking Rae and Monster Girl, Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman, Kevin Michael Richardson as the Mauler Twins, Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Sloan/Rex Splode and Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien.
Invincible Season 2 Part 1 is all set to come out on Prime Video on November 3. You can check out the Invincible Season 2 trailer below:
