James Gunn Clears Up Rumors About the Production of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

Just a few hours ago, we reported that the production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has begun, because of a Twitter video by Team Coco featuring Chris Pratt in which he says that he is currently on the set of Guardians Vol. 3, but now James Gunn has taken to Twitter and cleared up the rumors and said that the production on the film has not begun yet but they will start filming soon.

The production on the film is due to begin soon, but we just had our hopes up and got them crushed instantly so we will be keeping an eye on Gunn’s tweets so we can get more updates on Guardians 3.

Gunn is returning to the MCU after making his super bloody DC film The Suicide Squad starring Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, John Cena, and Viola Davis. Details of the plot of the upcoming film are still being kept under wraps. Gunn will also be making a holiday special titled Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which is due to arrive on Disney+ in December of next year.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 also stars Karen Gillan as Nebula, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket. The film is due to arrive in theaters on May 5, 2023. Check out Gunn’s tweet below:
