Lionsgate is looking to expand the universe of John Wick with a new action series titled John Wick: Under The High Table, according to Deadline. The upcoming series will be set after the events of John Wick: Chapter 4 and it will apparently explore the fallout of the actions taken by Wick and Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont in the fourth film.
John Wick: Under The High Table is supposed to be our look into the mysterious world of the High Table and while it seems like a risky project the mystery of the High Table is far more effective than a guy sitting alone in a tent in the desert. But the risk gets a little lower when Robert Levine, the guy behind Black Sails and The Old Man is writing it.
The upcoming sequel series will be the third spin-off and the second TV series in the John Wick universe after the prequel series set in the 1970s focusing on Winston Scott taking over The Continental and an upcoming action spin-off movie starring Ana De Armas titled John Wick Presents: Ballerina. The Ana De Armas is supposed to come out next summer and while there is no release for John Wick: Under The High Table, it will probably come out after Ballerina. Another spin-off film focusing on Donnie Yen‘s character Caine from Chapter 4 is also in the works.
If you have seen John Wick: Chapter 4 then you might be wondering how Keanu Reeves will return for Chapter 5, but it is currently in the works until then Reeves will be returning to executive produce John Wick: Under The High Table alongside the director of the film franchise Chad Stahelski. No release for John Wick: Under The High Table has been announced yet.
