Netflix just unveiled the first official trailer for its upcoming superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy.

Based on Mark Millar‘s comic book series the Jupiter’s Legacy series is being adapted by Steven S. DeKnight for Netflix and it will be arriving on Netflix on May 7.

As we can see in the trailer Josh Duhamel‘s Sheldon Sampson aka The Utopian has been saving the world for decades but he is getting old now and wants to give his responsibilities to his children, Brandon, and Chloe Sampson but he fears they are not even close to being ready to take on saving the world from villainous people.

Jupiter’s Legacy – Trailer

The official synopsis given by Netflix for Jupiter’s Legacy is:

They’re the first generation of superheroes. But as they pass the torch to their children, tensions are rising — and the old rules no longer apply.

The cast of the series includes Josh Duhamel (Sheldon Sampson), Leslie Bibb (Grace Sampson), Ben Daniels (Walter Sampson), Elena Kampouris (Chloe Sampson), Andrew Horton (Brandon Sampson), Mark Wade (Fitz Small), and Matt Lanter (George Hutchence).

There are fans who are drawing parallels between Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys and Jupiter’s Legacy and are also speculating that Jupiter’s Legacy is Netflix’s answer to The Boys.
