Channing Tatum is all set to return in his beloved role of Mike Lane in the upcoming HBO Max Magic Mike sequel film titled Magic Mike’s Last Dance, revealed by Deadline. The film will be directed by Steven Soderbergh and it will be written by Reid Carolin, who also made the original film. Magic Mike’s Last Dance is going to release exclusively on HBO Max.
Magic Mike followed Tatum’s Mike who is financially struggling, doing any job he could find but in the night he raked in dollars, while entertaining ladies as a male stripper. When he meets a new kid in the business called the Kid (Alex Pettyfer), Mike takes on the role of his mentor and teaches him all about the stripping business, but things get messy when Mike tries to juggle both his business and his relationship with the Kid’s sister Brooke (Cody Horn).
Magic Mike 3 will be coming after 2015’s Magic Mike XXL, which wasn’t as good as the first one but it was still entertaining. Tatum is really happy to be back in the shoes of Mike and about that he said, “There are no words for how excited I am to blow the doors off of the world of Magic Mike with Steven, Greg, Reid, and the amazing people at HBO Max. The stripperverse will never be the same.”
