Game of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke is nearing a deal to join Marvel’s Secret Invasion series cast alongside Samuel L. Jackson which will premiere on Disney+.
Marvel is putting a solid cast together for the Secret Invasion series, with Ben Mendelsohn (Captain Marvel, The Outsider), Kingsley Ben-Adir (High Fidelity, One Night In Miami…), and Olivia Colman (The Crow, Broadchurch).
According to Variety, Emilia Clarke is in the negotiation to star in the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series Secret Invasion, which role she is going to play is still not known but she is very near to signing the deal and enter into the world of MCU.
Secret Invasion will follow the shape-shifting aliens Skrull, who appeared in MCU in the Captain Marvel film, Mendelsohn will reprise his role as the Skrull General Talos who fought of the Kree in the Captain Marvel film, Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury, Ben-Adir is going to be the central villain in the series, and Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman‘s roles are being kept under wraps for now.
Emilia Clarke has ruled the world’s heart as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s mega-hit series Games of Thrones, and after that, she went on to play the lead in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The British actor has had many amazing roles and many opportunities to show brilliant acting chops.
Kyle Bradstreet is set to write and executive produce the series alongside Marvel’s Kevin Feige, who has produced back-to-back hits with WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will air its season finale this Friday, and Loki which is set to premiere on Disney+ in June.
