Inspired by the award-winning 2019 documentary of the same name written and directed by Luke Lorentzen, the Apple TV+ series has some of the most gut-wrenching and exciting moments in any of the shows this year.
Midnight Family follows the story of Marigaby Tamayo, an ambitious and brilliant medical student who spends her night in a bootleg ambulance with her family to save lives throughout a bustling Mexico so that they can earn some money. While, Marigaby’s life is hard she is supported by her father and siblings in her quest to become a doctor.
