The latest entry into the Bad Boys film franchise titled Ride or Die is finally out and seems to be rejuvenating the 2024 summer box office single-handedly. Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Bad Boys: Ride or Die becomes the fourth film in a franchise started by Michael Bay. Stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return to reprise their iconic roles of Detective Mike Lowery and Detective Marcus Miles Burnett, and once again, both of their characters get into some tricky situations, and the only way to get out is some cool action sequences and hilarious comedic bits. So, if you love the Bad Boys franchise and love the latest film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, here are some similar films you could watch next.

Based on a 1970s TV series of the same name by William Blinn, the 2004 film is set in the 1970s, and it follows the story of two street-wise Bay City Police detectives trying to bust a dangerous drug ring in their city. Starsky & Hutch stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the lead roles, with Vince Vaughn, Snoop Dogg, Jason Bateman, Fred Williamson, Carmen Electra, Amy Smart, and Juliette Lewis starring in supporting roles.

Together, they must retrieve an item stolen by an intergalactic villain. Bryce and Kincaid have a tumultuous past that they must set aside to escape several deadly situations. The Hitman’s Bodyguard stars Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds in the lead roles, with Salma Hayek, Gary Oldman, Elodie Yung, Russell De Rozario, Richard E. Grant, and Joaquim de Almeida starring in supporting roles. The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s sequel came out four years later, in 2021, titled Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.
