Revisiting Raccoon City in an upcoming Netflix original TV series existing in Resident Evil Universe.

Netflix has just announced a Resident Evil live-action TV series based on the famous video games series of the same name by Capcom and it will be produced by Constantin Films who also produced the previous six Resident Evil films with Milla Jovovich.

The series will feature an original story set in the Resident Evil universe and it will follow two timelines, the first timeline will follow two Jade and Billie Wesker (whom I think share some connection to the villain Albert Wesker) who move to a corporate town named New Raccoon before realizing the event that will happen in near future with their father who may be hiding a dark secret.

The second timeline will be after a time jump of sixteen years and will follow Jade who has to survive in a world where the earth is filled with over 6 billion mutated zombies with only less than 15 million human survivors.

The 8 x 1 hour episode season will be helmed by Andrew Dabb (Supernatural), Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead, The Journey Is the Destination) will direct the first two episodes.
