Netflix is bringing Leonardo DiCaprio to a Netflix Original film, and it’s going to be written and directed by the genius Adam McKay.
Adam McKay, well known for his hilarious work on The Anchorman Film Series with Will Ferrell, The Big Short, and Vice is making a Netflix original named Don’t Look Up with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.
Don’t Look Up is a Netflix original comedy film written and directed by Adam McKay, and the production will be handing McKay‘s Hyperobject Industries alongside Kevin Messick who will co-produce the film.
Don’t Look Up – Plot?
Netflix’s official synopsis for the film is, “A pair of astronomers try to warn everyone on Earth that a giant a meteorite will destroy planet in six months.“
Don’t Look Up – Release Date & Production Status?
Don’t Look Up is set to release on Netflix in 2021, but due to the production delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are expecting the film to release at the end of the year.
Filming was planned to begin in February 2020, but due to the global pandemic, principal photography didn’t begin until November 2020.
The shoot of the film has taken place in Boston and Massachusetts and the filming is supposed to end in February 2021.
