Netflix just dropped the first trailer for its upcoming crime drama Young Wallander which shows the origins of Detective Kurt Wallander, before he was played by Kenneth Branagh in the BBC adaptation of Henning Mankell’s novel.
Swedish actor Adam Pålsson takes on the titular role of Wallander accompanied by Richard Dillane (Argo), and Leanne Best (Line Of Duty). This six-part series will focus on the recently graduated from the police academy in his 20’s Wallander as he faces life-changing problems and villains. Young Wallander is directed by Ole Endresen and Jens Jonsson and written by Ben Harris. Berna Levin (Banijay-backed Yellow Bird UK) serves as the producer.
