While we have already made a list of the best of the best movies coming to Netflix in September, those are not the only films you should look out for as the biggest streaming service in the world is also bringing you a ton of original and licensed new content in the upcoming month, from a brilliant animated series by Zack Snyder to the highly anticipated new season of biographic true crime drama series Monsters. So, we picked out the 10 best new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix in September 2024.

The Perfect Couple Season 1 (September 5)

The Perfect Couple is an upcoming mystery thriller drama series created by Jenna Lamia. Based on a 2018 novel of the same name by author Elin Hilderbrand, the Netflix series revolves around Amelia as she marries into the wealthy Winbury family to the disapproval of the family matriarch but when a body is found on the beach hours before the wedding everybody becomes a suspect. The Perfect Couple stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson, Billy Howle, Meghann Fahy, Ishaan Khattar, Jack Reynor, Sam Nivola, Mia Isaac, Donna Lynne Champlin, Isabelle Adjani, Michael Beach, and Nick Searcy.

Rebel Ridge (September 6)

Rebel Ridge is an upcoming action thriller drama film written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier. The Netflix is set in the small town of Shelby Springs and it follows the story of Terry Richmond, a former marine as he comes to town to post bail for his cousin but when his savings are unjustly taken by a corrupt local police force led by Chief Sandy Burnne, he goes up against the whole police force to fight against the corruption. Rebel Ridge stars Aaron Pierre in the lead role with AnnaSophia Robb, Don Johnson, David Denman, James Badge Dale, Emory Cohen, and Erin Doherty starring in supporting roles.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 (September 12)

Emily in Paris returns with the second half of its fourth season this month. The upcoming episodes of the romantic comedy-drama series will see Emily going on her dream vacation and dealing with more new drama. Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 stars Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Camille Razat, Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Rupert Everett, Anna Galiena, and Raoul Bova.

Officer Black Belt (September 13)

Officer Black Belt is an upcoming South Korean action crime comedy film written and directed by Joo-hwan Kim. The Netflix film revolves around an indefinite contractor at the Ministry of Justice with martial arts experience as he manages criminals wearing electronic anklets. Soon, he teams up with a probation officer to prevent crime and catch criminals. Officer Black Belt stars Kim Woo-bin, Kim Seong-gyoon, and Lee Hae-young.

Uglies (September 13)

Uglies is an upcoming sci-fi thriller drama film directed by McG from a screenplay co-written by Jacob Forman, Vanessa Taylor, and Whit Anderson. Based on a 2005 dystopian novel of the same name by author Scott Westerfeld, the Netflix film is set in a dystopian world with enforced beauty standards and it revolves around Tally Youngblood, a young girl awaiting mandatory cosmetic surgery but when one of her friends runs she goes on an adventure to find her. Uglies stars Joey King in the lead role with Keith Powers, Chase Stokes, Brianne Tju, and Laverne Cox starring in supporting roles.

Heels Seasons 1-2 (September 15)

Heels is a sports drama series created by Michael Waldron. The Starz series revolves around two professional wrestling brothers and rivals who play out scripted matches to gain attention in a close-knit Georgia community so that they can keep their father’s legacy alive. Heels stars Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig in the lead roles with Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, James Harrison, Roxton Garcia, Chris Bauer, Robby Ramos, and Trey Tucker starring in supporting roles.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story Season 2 (September 19)

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is the upcoming second season of the biographical true crime anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The upcoming Season 2 of Monsters will be set in the ’90s and it will follow the dramatized true story of the Menendez brothers who killed their parents on Aug. 20, 1989. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story stars Nicholas Chavez, Cooper Koch, Javier Bardem, Chloë Sevigny, Nathan Lane, Ari Graynor, Dallas Roberts, and Leslie Grossman.

Twilight of the Gods Season 1 (September 19)

Twilight of the Gods is an upcoming adult animated series created by Zack Snyder, Eric Carrasco, and Jay Oliva. Based on Norse mythology, the Netflix animated series is set in a bleak mythical world and it follows the story of Leif and Sigrid, a mortal king and an iron-willed warrior who suffer a great loss and go after the gods to get their revenge. Twilight of the Gods’ voice cast includes Stuart Martin, Sylvia Hoeks, Pilou Asbæk, John Noble, Paterson Joseph, Rahul Kohli, Jamie Clayton, Kristofer Hivju, Peter Stormare, Jamie Chung, Lauren Cohan, Corey Stoll, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, and Thea Sofie Loch Næss.

His Three Daughters (September 20)

His Three Daughters is an upcoming comedy-drama film written and directed by Azazel Jacobs. The Netflix film revolves around three estranged sisters as they reunite to take care of their ailing father but as soon as they come together past issues come up again and they must confront their past so that they can heal their bond. His Three Daughters stars Elizabeth Olsen, Natasha Lyonne, and Carrie Coon in the lead roles with Rudy Galvan, Jovan Adepo, Jay O. Sanders, Jasmine Bracey, Jose Febus, and Randy Ramos Jr. starring in supporting roles.

Nobody Wants This Season 1 (September 26)

Nobody Wants This is an upcoming romantic comedy-drama series created by Erin Foster. The Netflix film revolves around Joanne, a young outspoken, and agnostic woman as she falls in love with Noah, an unconventional rabbi but their relationship goes through many hardships because of the disapproval from Noah’s family and friends. Nobody Wants This stars Kristen Bell and Adam Brody in the lead roles with Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Michael Hitchcock, Paul Ben-Victor, Sherry Cola, Shiloh Bearman, and Stephanie Faracy starring in supporting roles.
