Dying for Sex Season 1 (April 4)
Dying for Sex is an upcoming comedy-drama series created by Elizabeth Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock. Based on the podcast series of the same name by Nikki Boyer, the FX series follows Molly, a middle-aged woman who is diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Soon after finding out that she doesn’t have much time to live, she ends her marriage of 15 years and tries to explore her sexuality. Dying for Sex stars Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Rob Delaney, David Rasche, Esco Jouléy, Jay Duplass, Kelvin Yu, and Sissy Spacek.
The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 (April 8)
The Handmaid’s Tale is a dystopian tragedy thriller drama series created by Bruce Miller. Based on the 1985 novel of the same name by author Margaret Atwood, the upcoming sixth and final season of the Hulu series follows June as she is once again pulled back into the fight against Gilead. In the final season, we will finally see the epic conclusion of the tragic story of June and all the women who Gilead has oppressed. Magpie (April 11)
Magpie is a neo-noir thriller drama film directed by Sam Yates from a screenplay by Tom Bateman. The 2024 film revolves around a married couple, Ben and Anette, as their lives begin to unravel when their daughter is cast alongside a beautiful actress. Anette soon begins to suspect Ben of having feelings for the actress, which puts intense pressure on their marriage. Magpie stars Daisy Ridley, Shazad Latif, Matilda Lutz, Hiba Ahmed, Cherrelle Skeete, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Alistair Petrie.
The Stolen Girl Season 1 (April 17)
The Stolen Girl is an upcoming British thriller drama series created by Catherine Moulton. Based on the 2020 novel Playdate by Alex Dahl, the Disney+ series revolves around a Europe-wide hunt after a woman realizes that her daughter has been kidnapped from a play date. The Stolen Girl stars Holliday Grainger, Ambika Mod, Denise Gough, Jim Sturgess, Bronagh Waugh, Michael Workeye, and Robyn Betteridge.
The Order (April 18)
The Order is a Canadian crime thriller film directed by Justin Kurzel from a screenplay by Zach Baylin. Based on the 1989 non-fiction book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt, the 2024 film is set in the Pacific Northwest, and it follows veteran FBI agent Terry Husk, who investigates a series of violent robberies, which leads him to a white supremacist group that plans to destroy the federal government. The Order stars Jude Law, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett, Alison Oliver, and Marc Maron.
No Hard Feelings (April 21)
No Hard Feelings is a sex comedy film directed by Gene Stupnitsky, who also co-wrote the screenplay with John Phillips. The 2023 film follows Maddie Barker, a 32-year-old woman who is hired by a wealthy couple to have sex with their extremely introverted 19-year-old son. No Hard Feelings stars Jennifer Lawrence, Andrew Barth Feldman, Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, and Matthew Broderick.
Azrael (April 25)
Azrael is an action horror film directed by E.L. Katz from a screenplay by Simon Barrett. The 2024 film is set years after an apocalyptic event known as the Rapture, and it follows a young woman named Azrael who is trying to survive in this world as a devout cult of mute zealots hunts her. Azrael stars Samara Weaving, Vic Carmen Sonne, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Katariina Unt.
