The upcoming month will see the return of some of HBO’s brilliant original satirical comedy-drama series, The Righteous Gemstone, as well as the streaming release of Hugh Grant‘s thrilling horror drama film Heretic. Heretic (March 7)
Heretic is a horror thriller drama film co-written and co-directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The 2024 film follows Sister Barnes and Sister Paxton, two Mormon missionaries who knock on the door of Mr. Reed to try to convert him. They soon discover that Mr. Reed might be more dangerous than he initially seemed. Heretic stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, Chloe East, Topher Grace, and Elle Young.
The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 (March 9)
The Righteous Gemstones is a dark comedy-drama series created by Danny McBride. The upcoming Season 4 of the HBO series will see the bonds between the Gemstone family tested as they try to move forward and take their religious business with them despite their differences. The Righteous Gemstone Season 4 stars Danny McBride, Adam Devine, John Goodman, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tim Baltz, Tony Cavalero, Greg Alan Williams, Skyler Gisondo, and Walton Goggins.
The Parenting (March 13)
The Parenting is an upcoming horror comedy film directed by Craig Johnson from a screenplay by Kent Sublette. The Max film follows Rohan and Josh, a young gay couple, on a weekend getaway with their parents, but their already stressful weekend turns horrifying when they discover a 400-year-old evil entity. The Parenting stars Brian Cox, Edie Falco, Lisa Kudrow, Dean Norris, Nik Dodani, Brandon Flynn, and Parker Posey.
Sing Sing (March 21)
Sing Sing is a prison drama film directed by Greg Kwedar, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Clint Bentley. Based on a true story, the 2023 film follows John “Divine G” Whitfield, a man who was falsely imprisoned at Sing Sing and decides to create an original comedy with a theater group comprising of other incarcerated men. Sing Sing stars Colman Domingo, Clarence Maclin, Sean San José, and Paul Raci.
Queer (March 28)
Queer is a period romantic drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino from a screenplay by Justin Kuritzkes. Based on the 1985 novella of the same name by William S. Burroughs, the 2024 film is set in the 1950s in Mexico City, and it follows William Lee, an American man leading a secluded life who falls for a much younger man. Queer stars Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman, Henrique Zaga, and Lesley Manville.
