That Christmas (December 4)
That Christmas is an animated Christmas fantasy comedy film directed by Simon Otto from a screenplay co-written by Richard Curtis and Peter Souter. Based on Curtis’ That Christmas and Other Stories, the 2024 film follows a series of entwined tales of family, friends, love, loneliness, and Santa’s big mistake. That Christmas’ voice cast includes Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, Bill Nighy, Lolly Adefope, Alex Macqueen, and Katherine Parkinson.
Subservience (December 5)
Subservience is a sci-fi thriller drama film directed by S.K. Dale from a screenplay co-written by Will Honley and April Maguire. The 2024 film follows a struggling father whose wife is sick and to help with both he buys a lifelike AI android named Alice, but when Alice suddenly becomes self-aware she becomes increasingly dangerous. Subservience stars Megan Fox, Michele Morrone, Madeline Zima, Matilda Firth, and Andrew Whipp.
Mary (December 6)
Mary is an upcoming epic biblical drama film directed by D.J. Caruso from a screenplay by Timothy Michael Hayes. The Netflix film follows Mary, a young Jewish girl in Nazareth who is forced to flee after her otherworldly conception, and the hunt for her newborn ignited because of Herod’s thirst for power. Mary stars Noa Cohen, Mila Harris, Ido Tako, Anthony Hopkins, Stephanie Nur, Susan Brown, and Ori Pfeffer.
Camp Crasher (December 6)
Camp Crasher is an upcoming Argentinian comedy film directed by Martino Zaidelis who also co-wrote the screenplay with Andrés Gelós, Natacha Caravia, and Andrés Pascaner. The Netflix film follows Patri, an overbearing mom who is struggling to connect with her son, and to fix that she decides to take him and his friends on a camping road trip while looking for some way to connect with her son. Camp Crasher stars Natalia Oreiro, Pablo Rago, Sofia Morandi, Milo Lis, and Verónica Calvo.
Maria (December 11)
Maria is an upcoming biographical psychological drama film directed by Pablo Larrain from a screenplay by Steven Knight. The Netflix film follows the glamorous yet tumultuous life of famed opera singer Maria Callas who retreated to Paris in the 1970s during her final years. Maria stars Angelina Jolie, Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Carry-On (December 13)
Carry-On is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay by T.J. Fixman. The Netflix film follows Ethan Kopek, a young TSA officer who is blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package pass through security onto a Christmas Day flight, and now Ethan must do everything he can to prevent anything deadly from happening. The Six Triple Eight (December 20)
The Six Triple Eight is an upcoming war drama film written and directed by Tyler Perry. Based on a 2019 WWII History magazine article by Kevin M. Hymel, the upcoming film follows the true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, an all-black and all-female battalion in World War II who were recruited to address a three-year mail backlog. The Six Triple Eight stars Kerry Washington, Ebony Obsidian, Dean Norris, Sam Waterston, and Oprah Winfrey.
