Malum (January 1)
Malum is a horror thriller film directed by Anthony DiBlasi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Poiley. Based on the 2014 film Last Shift by DiBlasi and Poiley, the 2023 film follows a rookie cop as she takes on the last shift at a decommissioned police station but she soon begins experiencing paranormal occurrences and soon discovers that some cult members committed suicide years ago. Malum stars Jessica Sula, Eric Olson, Chaney Morrow, and Candice Coke.
The Wolf Man (January 1)
The Wolf Man is a gothic horror film directed by George Waggner from a screenplay by Curt Siodmak. The 1941 film follows Larry as he returns to his Welsh hometown after the death of his brother. After getting there, he soon tries to save a girl being attacked by a werewolf but in the process, he gets bitten by it. The Wolf Man stars Claude Rains, Lon Chaney Jr., Ralph Bellamy, Patric Knowles, Bela Lugosi, Maria Ouspenskaya, Evelyn Ankers, and Warren William.
The Thing (January 1)
The Thing is a sci-fi horror film directed by John Carpenter from a screenplay by Bill Lancaster. Based on the 1938 novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell, the 1982 film follows a research team in Antarctica as they are hunted by a shape-shifting alien who can take on the appearance of his victims. The Thing stars Kurt Russell, A. Them is a French-Romanian horror film written and directed by David Moreau and Xavier Palud. The 2006 film follows Clementine and her partner Lucas as they move from France to a remote idyllic country house near Bucharest, Romania. Get Away is a British horror comedy film directed by Steffen Haars from a screenplay by Nick Frost. The 2024 film follows a family on holiday on a remote Swedish island. Red Rooms is a Canadian psychological thriller film written and directed by Pascal Plante. The 2023 film follows Kelly-Anne a young woman who is obsessed with the high-profile case of serial killer Ludovic Chevalier. He murdered a 13-year-old girl who bears a disturbing resemblance to Kelly-Anne.
