Werewolves Within (February 1)
Before The Last of Us and Twisted Metal, there was another video game adaptation that won the hearts and minds of the fans. Released in 2021 and based on a video game of the same name, Werewolves Within is a horror comedy film directed by Josh Ruben. The film revolves around a forest ranger and a postal worker who work together to uncover the truth behind the creature who is terrorizing the residents of their town. Werewolves Within stars Sam Richardson and Milana Vayntrub in the lead roles.
Videodrome (February 1)
Written and directed by David Cronenberg, the classic sci-fi psychological horror film Videodrome revolves around a television programmer, who comes upon a strange show that leaves a subliminal impact on the audience. When he tries to find the creator of the show, he is pulled down a rabbit hole where he finds something far more sinister than he could have anticipated. Videodrome stars James Woods in the lead role with Peter Dvorsky, Debbie Harry, Les Carlson, Sonja Smits, and Julie Kahner starring in supporting roles.
Skeletons in the Closet (February 9)
Directed by Asif Akbar, Skeletons in the Closet is a supernatural horror film and it revolves around a young woman who is being haunted by a malevolent spirit. When the spirit informs her that her daughter is terminally ill, she submits herself to the spirit and agrees to get possessed if it heals her daughter. Skeletons in the Closet stars Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Udo Kier, Valery M. Ortiz, and Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez.
The Others (February 15)
Written and directed by Alejandro Amenábar, The Others is a psychological horror film and it is set in 1945 just after WWII. It revolves around the Stewart family including Grace Stewart and her two children who have a strange disease that prohibits them from going into the sunlight. This results in all of them staying in their darkened manor but soon they become convinced that their house is haunted as strange occurrences start happening. Now, Grace has to find a way to protect her children while holding on to her sanity. The Other stars Nicole Kidman in the lead role of Grace with Christopher Eccleston, Alakina Mann, and James Bentley starring in supporting roles.
History of Evil (February 23)
Written and directed by Bo Mirhosseni, History of Evil is set in the near future and it revolves around a family on the run from a corrupt government. They take refuge in a remote farmhouse but because of the evil past of the farmhouse they are staying in, things get even more dangerous than they could have anticipated. History of Evil stars Paul Wesley, Jackie Cruz, and Murphee Bloom.
