Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is back with a new, action-packed series, SAS: Rogue Heroes. The upcoming BBC series just got a brand new action-packed sixty seconds trailer and some new images for the series have also been released.

SAS: Rogue Heroes is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Ben Macintyre and it stars Connor Swindells, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Allen, Sofia Boutella, and Dominic West. The six-part upcoming series will follow a dramatized version of how the real-life SAS was formed under such extraordinary circumstances during World War II.

SAS: Rogue Heroes will be heavy on action with its huge set-pieces and exciting storylines. The BBC series is written, created, and executive produced by Knight, and it is directed by The Serpent series famed Tom Shankland.

SAS: Rogue Heroes is supposed to release in the upcoming months on BBC One and BBC iPlayer and it will be distributed internationally by Banijay Rights. Check out the trailer, official synopsis, and new images below:

Cairo, 1941. David Stirling (Connor Swindells) – an eccentric young officer, hospitalised after a training exercise went wrong – is bored. Convinced that traditional commando units don’t work, he creates a radical plan that flies in the face of all accepted rules of modern warfare. He fights for permission to recruit the toughest, boldest and brightest soldiers for a small undercover unit that will create mayhem behind enemy lines. More rebels than soldiers, Stirling’s team are every bit as complicated, flawed and reckless as they are astonishingly brave and heroic.
