Perry Mason Season 2 has finally begun filming after a two-year hiatus, our favorite detective turned defense lawyer is finally ready to roll the cameras on himself. HBO revealed the great news by tweeting a photo from the set of Perry Mason Season 2. HBO also revealed that Perry Mason Season 2 will be coming to HBO and HBO Max in February 2023.
Based on a popular book series of the same name, Perry Mason stars The Americans famed actor Matthew Rhys as the titular character. The first season of the series sees Mason trying to solve a horrific murder of a child, while also dealing with his own demons.
Season 1 starred a packed cast including Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), John Lithgow (The Old Man), Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire), and Chris Chalk (Shining Girls). While we don’t know who will be returning from the first season of the series except for Rhys and Whigham. We do know that Maslany won’t be returning and we also know some new cast members who will be joining the series in Season 2. Sean Astin (Stranger Things) as Sunny Gryce, Tommy Dewey (Casual) as Brooks McCutcheon, Paul Raci (Sound of Metal) as Lyell McCutcheon, and Jen Tullock (Before You Know It) as Anita St. Pierre are all set to shape the new story in Perry Mason Season 2.
Perry Mason Season 2 will begin three months after the events of Season 1, and it will see Mason and his firm take over a new case as the Great Depression annihilated all of America.
Perry Mason was renewed for a second season only after the first five episodes of its first season had aired, but the series was delayed mainly because of the Pandemic. But, now the camera is finally rolling on Season 2 and the fans of the series will be able to see the series on HBO and HBO Max in February 2023.
