The CBC lighthearted comedy series Run the Burbs has added comedians Gavin Crawford and Sharjil Rasool into the cast in its second season, according to THR. Run the Burbs will be showrun and executive produced by The Office writer Anthony Q. Farrell.

The returning cast from Season 1 includes Phung as Andrew Pham, Rakhee Morzaria as Camille Pham, Zoria Wong as Khia Pham, and Roman Pesino as Leo Pham. Other returning cast members include Ali Hassan, Julie Nolke, Jonathan Langdon, Chris Locke, Samantha Wan, and Aurora Browne. Dakota Ray Herbert and Ann Pornel will also be guest-starring in the upcoming season of the comedy series.

While commenting on Season 2 of Run the Burbs, Phung said this in a statement:

“For season two, Scott and I wanted to push this further, and have even more fun with the Burbs. We added showrunner of the year Anthony Q. Farrell to our team, and alongside our incredible writers, we’ve expanded the world of the Phams. This also includes some incredibly funny and talented additions to the show’s cast. The Phams always go big, and we see that in season two.”

Run the Burbs Season 2 will premiere on CBC and CBC Gem in the Winter of 2023 with 13 new half-hour episodes.
