The Piano Lesson is an upcoming drama film directed by Malcolm Washington from a screenplay co-written by Virgil Williams and Malcolm Washington. Based on the 1987 play of the same name by playwright August Wilson, the Netflix film will be set during the aftermath of the Great Depression in 1936 in Pittsburgh, and it will follow the story of the Charles family in the Doaker Charles household and their family piano which has cravings made by their enslaved ancestors. The Unholy Trinity is an upcoming Western revenge thriller film directed by Richard Gray from a screenplay by Lee Zachariah. The Upcoming film will follow the story of Henry Broadway, who is tasked with finding the man who framed his innocent father for a crime he didn’t commit. But when Henry goes to the town of Trinity, he finds himself in conflict with the local sheriff, Gabriel Dove, and St. Christopher, a mysterious man. The Unholy Trinity stars Samuel L. Afterburn is an upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi action adventure film directed by J.J. Perry from a screenplay by Matt Johnson. Based on the Red 5 Comics series by Scott Chitwood and Paul Ens, the upcoming film will be set 10 years after all of Earth’s technology was decimated by a solar flare, sending humanity back to the Stone Age. The film follows the story of Jake, a treasure hunter tasked with finding the Mona Lisa. Afterburn stars Dave Bautista in the lead role, with Samuel L. The Beast is an upcoming action thriller film directed by James Madigan from a screenplay by Umair Aleem. The upcoming event will see Samuel L. Jackson playing the role of the President of the United States of America, and it will centre around a coup against the U.S. by a militia. The film will see L. Jackson’s President and Joel Kinnaman’s secret service agent use the President’s heavily fortified limousine known as The Beast to save the President’s life and the future of America. Head Games is an upcoming sci-fi spy thriller film directed by Anthony Mandler from a screenplay by Colin Liddle. The upcoming film will follow the story of a corporate spy posing as a chef to get into the villa of a former founder of a neuroprosthetics firm to steal his new game-changing invention. Last Meals is an upcoming drama film directed by Andrew Levitas from a screenplay by Justin Piasecki. The upcoming film will centre on the bond between an inmate on death row, Reed and Walter, a disgraced White House chef working in the maximum-security prison cooking last meals as Reed goes on a hunger strike to protest his innocence. Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist (September 5, 2024)
Fright Night: The Million Dollar Heist is an upcoming crime drama miniseries created by Shaye Ogbonna. Based on the 2020 podcast titled Fright Night by Jeff Keating and Jim Roberts, the eight-part miniseries is based on true events, and it centres around a heist that happened in 1970 on the night of Muhammad Ali’s return to boxing. Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist stars Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Terrence Howard, Dexter Darden, Taraji P. Henson, and Chloe Bailey.
Futha Mucka (Might Have Been Canceled)
It would be interesting to see if it ever comes out. When Quibi was still a thing back in 2020, an animated series titled Futha Mucka was announced by the streaming service starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds, who we think would have voiced an alternate version of themselves, but as we all know, Quibi is six-feet underground, and since 2020 there has been no word on the series ever being picked up by any other streaming service.
