After a very memorable supporting role in Hawkeye. Echo is back with her very own original series that will be MCU’s first TV-MA-rated series. Starring Alaqua Cox in the lead of Maya Lopez aka Echo, the Disney+ series follows the story of Echo after the events of Hawkeye as she runs to her hometown after trying to kill the Kingpin. Still the crime that she commited in her past catch up to her while the mystery behind her ancestors slowly reveals itself. Echo also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Devery Jacobs, Chaske Spencer, Zahn McClarnon, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene. So, if you loved the MCU’s latest superhero series here are some similar shows you might find entertaining to watch.

Hawkeye has to be one of the most underrated Marvel series that starred an Avenger in the lead role. Hawkeye also first introduced the character of Echo in the MCU, so leaving Hawkeye off this list didn’t make any sense. The Disney+ series revolves around mainly revolves around Hawkeye, who goes with his kids to New York just before Christmas and that’s where he meets Kate Bishop an incredible archer with a penchant for getting into trouble. Both of them team up and try to face Hawkeye’s past mistakes and wounds. Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in the lead roles with Alaqua Cox, Florence Pugh, Tony Dalton, Linda Cardellini, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Vera Farmiga starring in supporting roles.

One of the best Marvel series ever made didn’t really exist in the MCU until a year ago, but now Daredevil is back and made his first MCU appearance in She-Hulk and he also has a cameo in Echo. The former Netflix original series revolves around a blind lawyer whose other senses have heightened because of an accident in his childhood. By day he works as a lawyer for the people and by night he fights brutally with the criminals of the Hell’s Kitchen. Daredevil has so many things that any casual viewers or devoted fans will love including the complex characters with clearly defined motivations and brilliantly choreographed action sequences. Daredevil stars Charlie Cox in the titular role with Vincent D’Onofrio, Elden Henson, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elodie Yung starring in supporting roles.

One of Marvel’s most brutal series in which you will find blood and terrible and entertaining ways to kill people is The Punisher and I think that’s the main reason why The Punisher had to be on this list besides the whole revenge thing, as Echo is also coming out with a TV-MA rating for brutal fight sequences. The Punisher revolves around the Former Recon Marine Frank Castle whose whole family was killed by criminals and while exacting his revenge on the people who he thinks killed his family, he uncovers a massive conspiracy that is somehow connected to what happened to his family. The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal in the lead role with Ben Barnes, Amber-Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, John Stewart, and Floriana Lima in supporting roles.

HBO’s popular superhero drama series Watchmen is a dark and haunting tale about a broken system and the anger it fills the people with. Based on a DC comics series of the same name, the series is set in a world where masked vigilantes are treated as criminals by the authorities, and in turn the police officers have to hide their authorities so that they don’t become the vigilante’s victims. Watchmen is brutal and complex in all the right ways. Hunters revolve around a young man who recently lost his grandmother to what he thought was a burglary gone wrong but when he finds out that there are Nazis living among the people of the United States and his grandmother was involved in hunting them. He joins a group of people put together by a man who worked with his grandmother to kill all of the Nazis hiding out in plain sight. Hunters star Logan Lerman in the lead role with Al Pacino, Josh Radnor, Dylan Baker, Kate Mulvany, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Tiffany Boone, Carole Kane, and Saul Rubinek in supporting roles.

Reacher is an action-heavy crime drama series in which you will find some similar elements to Echo in their execution and storylines. Based on a novel series by Lee Child, Prime Video revolves around the titular character as he ends up in a town named Margrave, where he is suspected of a recent murder but he later finds out that the murder victim is his brother and he was investigating some criminal activities for the Homeland. He takes up the task his brother left behind to find the person who killed his brother. Reacher stars Alan Ritchson in the lead role with Willa Fitzgerald, Maria Sten, Malcolm Goodwin, and Kristin Kreuk in supporting roles.

Luke Cage (Disney+ & Rent on Prime Video)

Luke Cage is a superhero Marvel action drama series that existed in Netflix’s Marvel Universe but is now available on Disney+ and while it is indirectly connected to the MCU, there is no official announcement about the fate of the series or characters yet. Luke Cage revolves around the titular character who undergoes an experiment that goes wrong and gives him unbreakable skin and super strength. He uses his powers to fight against the corruption and crime running rampant in his neighborhood. Luke Cage stars Mike Colter, Simone Missick, Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, and Rosario Dawson starring in supporting roles.

Jessica Jones (Disney+ & Rent on Prime Video)

Offbeat Superhero Shows Like Invincible

Jessica Jones is another Netflix Marvel series that’s fate is still undecided. The former Netflix series revolves around an alcoholic private investigator who has super strength. Her powers were the result of some horrific experiments that torment her to this day but when her abusive and villainous ex comes back who she thought was dead. She has to find him and deal with her past for once and for all. Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter in the lead role with David Tennant, Mike Colter, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachel Taylor, and Erin Moriarty in supporting roles.
