Created by Will Smith, Slow Horses is based on the Slough House novel series by author Mick Herron with Season 4 being based on the fourth book titled Spook Street.

Season 4 of Slow Horses follows the team after a deadly explosion in London and one of them presumably murdered. As the authorities try to catch the perpetrator, Jackson Lamb tries to figure out the mystery behind his missing team member and River tries to take care of his senile grandfather.

Slow Horses Season 4 sees the return of Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden in the lead roles of Jackson Lamb and River Cartwright alongside Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, Kadiff Kirwan as Marcus Longridge, and Sean Gilder as “Bad” Sam Chapman. The new actors joining the series in Season 4 are Joanna Scanlan as Moira Tregorian, Tom Brooke as J.K.
