For all the fans who wanted Sadie Sink in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it seems like the bosses of the MCU have heard you. The Stranger Things actress is officially joining the MCU in Tom Holland‘s upcoming Spider-Man film.
While it is a bit unclear as to what role Sink will play in Spider-Man 4, according to Deadline (who broke the story), her role in the film will be “significant.” It also can’t be ignored that the whole internet has been rooting for Sink to play the X-Men character Jean Grey.
Sink first gained popularity from her role as Max Mayfield in Stranger Things, but since then, she has appeared in a number of brilliant shows, including The Whale, in which she starred opposite the always-brilliant Brendan Fraser. She was also phenomenal in Netflix’s Fear Street Trilogy, and she is now starring in the post-apocalyptic musical drama film O’Dessa, which is set to come out on Hulu on March 20, 2025.
Holland is currently shooting Christopher Nolan‘s much-anticipated upcoming film The Odyssey alongside Matt Damon, after which he will begin shooting for Spider-Man 4.
Destin Daniel Cretton will be directing Spider-Man 4, and it will be swinging back into theaters on July 24, 2025.
