John Kramer aka Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) has been a part of the Saw film franchise from the very first film and fans were rightly pissed when he did not appear in the recently release Spiral: From the Book of Saw, in which he is only mentioned a few times and we also see his photo one time, but one of the co-writers of Spiral may have just revealed that we will see the beloved killer again in the next film.
Co-writer Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D) recently posted a tweet, which included a photo of the other Spiral co-writer Pete Goldfinger, with Saw franchise producers Oren Koules and Mark Burg, and the tweet said: “polishing up the script” for the tenth installment in the Saw franchise. But what got everyone’s attention is the end of Stolberg’s tweet which said “ What I can promise you is that this is gonna make John Kramer fans very happy”. This surely means that the fans will be seeing the return of the famous killer in the upcoming film. Jigsaw officially died in the 2006’s Saw 3, but because of the multilayered timelines which are a part of every Saw, the killer has been in every sequel and the original film besides Spiral.
The cliffhanger at the end of Spiral: From the Book of Saw leaves us with the real cop-killer William Schenk (Max Minghella) getting away in the same fashion as Jigsaw. It remains to be seen how this will be involved in the upcoming sequel, but if Jigsaw is involved it will surely have a lot of blood and gore.
No release date for Saw 10 has been announced yet, as it hasn’t been officially greenlit yet, but if the writers are working on a script it shouldn’t take too much time. Check out Stolberg’s tweet below:
