Suppose you have been following the career of everybody’s favorite up-and-coming star, Sydney Sweeney. In that case, you might be interested in knowing that Sweeney is all set to star in and produce a film that is based on a four-year-old Reddit short story titled I Pretended to Be a Missing Girl, written by Joe Cote.
Sweeney’s production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, nabbed the rights to the story and the film will be produced under the banner of Warner Bros. Pictures. Fifty-Fifty Films has also approached Oscar-winning Dune writer Eric Roth to write the film.
The story follows a young woman who takes on the identity of a girl who went missing at the age of eighteen and goes to her parents with the intention of stealing from them, but she soon realizes that she has made a grave mistake.
The Euphoria actress has shown interest in producing the projects she stars in, and she has executive-produced her hit raunchy romantic-comedy film Anyone But You. She has also produced the horror thriller drama film Immaculate.
For now, you will be able to see Sweeney in several upcoming projects, including Ron Howard‘s upcoming survival thriller drama film Eden, Paul Feig‘s The Housemaid, and Apple TV+’s Echo Valley.
