Fans of The Batman are going to be so happy with his news! Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the release date for The Batman 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD and it is coming to your home on May 24, and on April 18 it will be available digitally and also stream on HBO Max.
The Batman sees Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) in his second year as the caped crusader when a serial killer, who calls themselves The Riddler (Paul Dano) is killing the Gotham elite like the city’s mayor and police commissioner. Batman is not alone in his fight against crime, he is helped by Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), Alfred (Andy Serkis), and his complex ally Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz). Together they are trying to solve this riddle while also dealing with other criminals such as Penguin (Colin Farrell) and Carmine Falcone (John Turturro). The film also stars Barry Keoghan, Peter Sarsgaard, and Jayme Lawson.
The Batman is loved by both critics and audiences, which has been proved by its global box office collection which is nearing $731 million. The fans are also really excited about the sequel and it has already launched several HBO Max spin-off series. The Batman is directed by Matt Reeves, who also co-wrote the script with Peter Craig, based on the DC Comics character created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane.
The Batman will also be available with “Filmmaker Mode” which means:
“Developed by studios, TV manufacturers and some of Hollywood’s leading directors, Filmmaker Mode disables all post processing (e.g. motion smoothing), preserves the correct aspect ratios, colors and frame rates, and enables your TV to display the film precisely as it was intended by the filmmaker. The Batman is set to come to streaming and Digital on HBO Max on April 18 and on May 24 it will come out on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
