The FX vampire-comedy series What We Do in the Shadows has just wrapped up filming on its fourth season, as it was revealed by the actor Harvey Guillén, who plays the role of Guillermo de la Cruz in the series. The announcement was via an Instagram post in which he is holding a stake against a blood-red background. This could also serve as a tease on his character arc in the upcoming season.
Alongside the photo, Guillén also wrote and caption which said: “[t]oday is the last day of shooting for season 4 of [What We Do in the Shadows] .. can’t wait for everyone to see what happens! Who’s excited ?!” And as all the fans of the series will tell you, everyone is really excited to see where will the story take our dysfunctional team of Staten Island vampires.
What We Do in the Shadows premiered its first season in 2019, and it is based on the 2014 film of the same name which was created by Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement, who also created the series. The cast of the series also includes Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Kayvan Novak as Nandor the Relentless, Mark Proksch as Colin Robinson, and Matt Berry as Laszlo Carvensworth.
The renewal of What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 came before the premiere of Season 3. Clement, Waititi, Paul Simms, Stefani Robinson, Sam Johnson, Garrett Basch, and Eli Bush serve as the executive producers on the series.
No plotlines for Season 4 have been revealed yet. Season 4 is supposed to premiere on FX sometime in 2022. Check out Guillén’s Instagram post below:
